From the Airport (El. Venizelos)

SUBWAY

Head to the Suburban entrance. Board towards Agia Marina following line 3 (blue line) of the metro until the Syntagma stop. At Syntagma get off and change lines, now following line 2 (red line) in the direction of Anthoupoli, stop at Larisis Station where your final destination is. The Metro platforms are located 5 minutes from the departures and arrivals entrances. Routes operate 7 days a week, from 6:30 am to 11:30 pm. The journey from the Airport to Syntagma takes 40 minutes. Here are the Metro transit times from the airport to Agia Marina:

06:30, 07:00, 07:30, 08:00, 08:30, 09:00, 09:30, 10:00, 10:30, 11:00, 11:30, 12:00, 12: 30, 13:00, 13:30, 14:00, 14:30, 15:00, 15:30, 16:00, 16:30, 17:00, 17:30, 18:00, 18:30, 19:00, 19:30, 20:00, 20:30, 21:00, 21:30, 22:00, 22:30, 23:00, 23:30.

On strike days of the OSE staff, the Metro routes do not operate in the Dukissis Placentias - Airport section, as this above-ground section belongs to the OSE. Ticket prices are as follows:

  • €10, valid for a single journey for all means for ninety minutes.

  • 18€, and it concerns a return ticket within 48 hours.

  • €18, for 2 people for a single route.

  • €24, for 3 people for a single route.

  • €22, tourist ticket for 3 days and unlimited journeys.

  • €5, reduced one way for all means for 90 minutes.

TAXI

The cost of transportation from the airport to Larissa station by taxi ranges from 40€ from 5.00 to 24.00 and from 24.00 to 5.00 the charge varies around 55€. The cost is set for a four seater taxi and the price includes airport charges, flag drop, baggage charge, tolls and VAT. Nevertheless, the driver should start the taxi meter so that you know the charge in case you eventually change your destination and it is not in the center of Athens, so the fixed charge does not apply. The flat rate also applies to the route from the center to the airport.

From the Port of Piraeus

ELECTRICITY AND METRO

The connection of the port of Piraeus with the railway station of Larissa is made with very frequent routes. The starting point is the Piraeus tram stop (green line) and which we follow until the Omonoia stop, then we transfer to the metro and follow line 2 (red line) towards Anthoupoli. Larissa station is just 2 stops away.

SUBURBAN

The Suburban station in Piraeus (formerly known as "Peloponnisos Station") is located 200 meters from the Metro station, at the junction of Kononos and Aktis Kallimasiotis streets. It is the starting point of the Piraeus - Airport and Piraeus Kiato lines. Both routes pass through the central station of Athens (Larisis station). The routes to the Airport depart every hour from 4:44 am. until 20:44 while the routes to Kiato every hour from 6:17 am. until 22:17.

OASA (city buses, trolleys, metro, electric and tram)

  • People over the age of 65, upon presentation of a police ID or Passport or Driver's License or the Individual Health Book of all insurance agencies.

  • Children aged 7 to 12 years. When the child is present when the fee is issued, no supporting document is required. Proof is not required during the ticket check. When the child is not present when the fee is issued, proof (sickness book, passport or birth certificate) is required.

  • Young people aged 13 to 18, upon presentation of a police ID or Passport or Driver's License or the Personal Health Book of all insurance companies.

  • Primary and secondary school students (over 18; for those under 18, ID is sufficient), with presentation of an OASA student card, and only during the school year. The student cards are provided by the school management.

  • Students – students of higher education, with demonstration. Academic ID that replaced the student card (pass). Those studying at private universities, colleges and the Hellenic Open University are not entitled to a reduced price.

  • Students of public and private IEK and EES which operate on the basis of Law 2009/1992 (Government Gazette A΄ 18/1992) up to 22 years of age, upon presentation of their Police Identity Card or Passport or Driver's License or the Personal Health Book of all insurance operators and the OASA special ticket card when it is issued by the schools.

  • Students of higher education schools and Universities abroad, up to 25 years old, with presentation of student ID "Student Card - University ID" and Passport or ID.

  • Parents with multiple children and members of their families, with presentation of a valid and certified multiple-child booklet on the back, which is granted to the beneficiary by the Supreme Confederation of Multiple Children of Greece. Children with three children and their families are not entitled to a reduced fee.

TRAINOSE (trains and commuter rail)

  • A 50% discount is available to: children aged 4-12, children with multiple children (children with multiple children are entitled to an additional 50% discount on school or student tickets), students and people with special needs

  • A 25% discount is available to: Students - students in HEIs and TEIs, young people under 26 years old and people over 65 years old.

  • Discounts are also available to those who issue tickets online (-10%), at least 3 days before the itinerary (-15%), and those who issue group tickets.
